Faith-based Toys headed for Wal-Mart shelves
As the business world continues to find new ways to embrace the Christian market (due to its its vast size and economic power), the newest entry door is faith-based toys. Wal-Mart has just signed a deal to test the selling of Tales of Glory faith-based toys in a number of its stores, primarily in the Mid-west and South.
Wal-Mart has previously experienced great success by embracing the faith-based market, as the mega-store's inventory and sales of Christian books in the early 1980's averaged around 1%, whereas today it averages from 20% to 33% according to various reports.
